Apple has rolled out the second release candidate versions of the upcoming iOS18.2, macOS 15.2 and iPadOS 18.2 updates to developers and public beta teasers, just a week after the initial release candidates were made available. The first iOS 18.2 RC carries the build number 22C150, while the recent iteration can be identified by the build number 22C151.
These release candidates indicate the near-final stage of beta software, poised for public launch unless major bugs are discovered. In addition to these updates for iPad, iPhone and Mac, Apple has also introduced new release candidates for visionOS 2.2, tvOS 18.2, and HomePod Software 18.2.
With the iOS 18.2 and its accompanying updates, Apple is moving ahead with the exploration of Apple Intelligence, unveiling a host of new features for iOS, macOS and iPadOS.
Image Playground is Apple’s innovative image generation application that allows users to create visuals based on the descriptions. You can either input your own ideas or select from curated suggestions of Apple which include settings, costumes, and several items. These intelligence concepts can even draw inspiration from your Messages conversations or content which is stored in the Notes app.
Image Wand is a feature which can be linked to Image Playground and it is available within the Notes App. By sketching a rough outline with the Apple Pencil or highlighting a blank area or key phrase in a note. The users can also prompt Image Wand to generate a fitting image.
Genmoji are personalized emoji characters that can be used by users to describe things. These descriptions are based on specific based on specific phrases which are a lot similar to creations from Image Playground.
Apple is expected to launch the iPadOS 18.2, macOS Sequoi 15.2, iOS 18.2, watchOS 11.2, tvOS 18.2 and visionOS 2.2 updates later this week.
