iPhone 17 Pro design leaks hinting at major changes

A recent report concerning the design of the iPhone 17 series suggests that a completely new camera arrangement is expected to be there. This information came from a leaker known for their reliable insights however, this report now has been challenged.

Initially, the idea was for the iPhone to have a horizontal alignment of the camera, contrasting with the triangular setup seen on the iPhone 16 Pro. This design would have made the iPhone look a lot like Google Pixel Pro, while some were doubtful of this claim, a future confirmation regarding the same is necessary.

Now, a new update from the well-known leader Instant Digital on the platform Weibo is out highlighting a different perspective. As per this source, the back of the device indeed will have a new look however, the arrangement of three cameras will remain triangular instead of the horizontal layout which is being circulated online.

The triangular configuration not only feels familiar but also supports the current capability for recording Spatial Video when the iPhone is held in landscape mode. It would be surprising if Apple did not maintain this feature for at least a few more generations.

However, the report is vague about what exactly will be changed in the back appearance of the device. One rumor suggests that the camera area may be encased in aluminum instead of glass, however, it is believed that most of the back of the iPhone will still be glass. Wireless charging would be compromised without this material, hence it is another essential feature that would not be removed by the company for the iPhone.

It can be perplexing when different reports from renowned leakers contradict each other, yet despite several unanswered questions, one thing is clear, the Pixel-like camera design will remain intriguing for upcoming iPhone devices.
