Apple is planning to launch its most powerful desktop with a major redesign that will make it as small as an Apple TV set-top box. Probably its smallest computer yet, the new Mac mini will be the most impressive flex yet of what’s possible with Apple Silicon.

The Mac mini desktop is one of the most impressive inventions of the tech giant. When Steve Jobs introduced the Mac Mini in 2005, he referred to it as a “BYODKM” system.  It requires just a display, keyboard, and mouse, and the Mini would provide a dependable computing experience with all the benefits of macOS. It has been then carried on ever since.

Now, according to recent reports from Mark Gurman, the new mini will be the smallest ever that centers on new M4 chips. Some models will contain two ports in the front, while other models will contain three ports, all in the back.

The technique of ray tracing graphics will be supported for the first time. So, the upcoming Mac mini will be anything but a stripped-down Mac.

Furthermore, Apple is also planning to launch new devices this week and the two Mac mini models will reportedly be a part of it. Additionally, the product lineup will also include a 24-inch iMac, a 16-inch MacBook Pro, and two different configurations of the 14-inch MacBook Pro, all using Apple’s M4 chip.
