Larian Studios June announced that patch 7 for Baldur’s Gate 3 would be their final update for players of the well-known Dungeons & Dragons RPG. After this, the company would shift its focus to two projects that are still untitled.
However, it was noted by CEO Swen Vincke that while the overall post-release support would be reduced, there would still be some additional updates; these updates could be interpreted as primary bug fixes.
The recently announced patch 8 will bring up brand new subclasses for every class in the game for the players along with new crossplay functionally and even an improved photo mode. The new subclasses are very imaginative, for example, the Monk’s Drunken master subclass allows the players to intoxicate their enemies and also sober them up quickly, this can deal with both physical and mental damage.
If players are ranger swarmkeeper, they can command a legion of bes to act as a battering ram and teleport to their location for a sudden attack. The Fighter’ Arcne Archer subclass allows temporary banishment of enemies to another dimension, whereas the Cleric’s Dark Domain lets the players go for an explosive destruction of corpses.
The Rouge’s Swashbuckler subclass offers the players the ability to throw sand on the faces of opponents, disarm them and generally create chaos. The complete list of all the subclasses can be accessed by having a look at the official Steam announcement.
The new photo mode has plenty of lens settings such as field view, focus level, scene option and much more that allow players to hire party members, NPCs as well as enemies. In addition to this, post-processing effects like saturation, brightness, contrast, highlights and vignetting along with a range of stickers and frames will be available for the players.
While a release date for the patch has not been yet announced, Larian is set to begin its testing in early January.
