14th November 2024 has been an exciting day for Call of Duty and its fans as it marks the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1 which also introduced a brand new Call of Duty: Warzone map, Area 99.

As reported by CharlieIntel, Season 1 is available with a significant update, needing 74GB on Xbox and 50 GB on PlayStation and players can begin pre-loading the update so that they can begin playing Season 1 officially and dive into it. Season 1 was officially launched at 12 pm on November 19 for the users.

The updates for Call of Duty are generally large in size and the same pattern is followed by Season 1. Players of Black Ops 6 will be required to download a 35 GB update. Those who want to play Warzone will need an additional 10 GB update to get the game. With Season 1, the overall file size for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 increases to 90 GB.

To address the increasing file sizes, Activision has applied measures to minimise the size of Call of Duty files which consist of streaming some assets and other strategies. Nevertheless, because of the substantial size of the Black Ops 6 Season 1 update, the players may be required to remove some files to free some space on their devices.

New things were introduced by Black Ops 6 Season 1 such as multiplayer maps, modes and weapons, whereas the in-game stores expand with a variety of store bundles consisting of the one that allows you to become a shark. The in-game store also features the first Balck Ops 6 BlackCell bundle which comes with the Goliath operator.

For Warzone, the new Area 99 map transports players to where Nuketown originated, the Season 1 update also brings Black Ops 6 content into Warzone presenting the Omnimovement system.
