Are you a fan of Destiny? If so, there is good news for you. Now, you can try your favorite game on mobile. Not exactly, but kind of.
For some people, it might be hard to believe that it’s been ten more than a decade since Destiny first launched. Due to the recent Bungie layoffs and upheaval, you might think that you are getting a new game.
According to new information, players will be able to try a new game set in the Destiny universe. No, the new game will not be Destiny 3.
It will be a small mobile game created by NetEase. Today, they announced that they are developing and publishing a game called Destiny: Rising. They are doing this with official licensing from the original Destiny creator Bungie.
The new game will be a free-to-play sci-fi RPG shooter that takes place in an alternate destiny timeline during the post-Dark Age era.
In this new game, players will have hero characters with unique abilities, multiple game modes, and a shared universe. The game will introduce new characters, PvE and PvP modes, and different locations. It will also retain some locations, modes, and locales you are already familiar with.
Check the preview video embedded above to learn more about the game.
This game will have single-player, co-op, and competitive multiplayer, just like the mainline game. We should also remind you that the game will allow you to choose between touch controls or controllers.
The game will also include the first-person or third-person perspective.
So, if you are interested, NetEase has started the registration process for a limited period of time. Go ahead and check that out.
