Google has launched their flagship Pixel 9 series a bit early this year. Google always launched their mobiles in September but this year they launched a new series in August.
This year, Google has come up with four devices including the foldable phone. The new Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL all feature the advanced AI generation features on board the device, all thanks to the Tensor G4 chip.
This big news here is the AI feature Gemini Live, which enables users free-flowing conversations with the AI assistant. This back-and-forth conversation is similar to what we’ve seen in the Iron Man movies with Jarvis.
The devices also include a new Pixel Studio app for image generation. This would allow the users to generate a new image by using the capabilities on board the device.
Another AI feature that is dope is “Add Me”, which will allow users to insert the photographer into a group image by bending two images shot in a sequence.
Pixel 9 comes with a 6.3-inch screen and a dual camera system. Pixel 9 Pro has an additional 5x optical zoom telephoto camera and a brighter screen. While the XL version will have a significantly bigger 6.8-inch screen.
So, it looks like the Pro device competes directly with the iPhone 15 Pro versions. Both companies offer similar specs across devices. The Pro devices also offer one-year access to Google’s Gemini Advanced.
All devices will also include satellite SOS messaging for free for two years in the US.
The smaller Pixel 9 device will cost $799, Pixel 9 Pro will cost $999, and Pixel 9 Pro XL will cost $1099. These devices will start shipping on 4 September.
