Huawei has already talked about its intention to develop a mobile operating system independent of Android and finish it with its own functionalities and applications. This ambition has finally been achieved and the day is here when the company launch the new HarmonyOS version, coinciding with the release of the Huawei Mate 70 smartphone this week creating a buzz among users.

The initial availability of the application for the devices with HarmonyOS might be limited as of now, but Huawei intends to introduce additional devices making use of this platform. This could potentially increase the number of applications beyond 15,000 in a short period of time.

The U.S. Restrictions Now Are Lifted

Huawei previously struggled to get the components from the major US technology firms such as Google which is the provider of Android. Over time, the company has shifted towards in-house hardware solutions and the development of its software marks a major step in adapting to the US chip embargo.

This capability allows the company to exert a level of control over its ecosystem akin to that of Apple. This enables Huawei to introduce features that are workable with such comprehensive support. The company has also demonstrated innovative camera functionalities that are specially designed to capture moving subjects and it will then transform them into still images.

In addition to this, a distinctive file transfer feature makes use of hand gestures as shown by the company, these demonstrations have created considerable excitement among users online. Also, Huwaei is assured of expanding its offerings majorly in the upcoming years.

Famous for its commitment to innovation, Huawei’s autonomy in hardware development will empower the company to explore new possibilities and show the world the aspects which have been overlooked because of the ongoing geopolitical conflicts between countries and governments.
