iPhone 16 Bug Causes Phones to Randomly Reboot

The latest flagship device from tech giant Apple, the iPhone 16 Pro, is affected by a bug.

Everyone all-round praised the performance of the device and also the camera experience. However, a bug on the new iPhones is causing them to shut down or freeze abruptly.

Many users on Reddit and Apple Support Community started complaining about this issue with their devices. The community has started experiencing random reboots on their iPhone 16 Pro devices.

It turns out that the new iOS 18.0.1 (stable) and iOS 18.1 (beta) are responsible for this bug. The reboot occurs quite randomly so there’s not much a user can do to avoid this.

Some users started complaining about an issue that the display is slow to respond or stops responding to touch inputs and then will reboot. A user said that their device rebooted when it was in their pocket and even when sitting idle on a desk. Users could only notice the reboot once they pick up the device; the Shortcuts app prompts them to enter the PIN to enable it after a reboot.

Well, this is quite a big issue as users can miss their notifications and messages after a reboot. Some users even managed to get their devices replaced from the Apple Stores, but the issue persists.

The only thing is that the issue is quite rare for most users as they undergo only two or fewer reboots a day. However, some users have been quite unlucky as they faced more than 10 reboots in a day.
