On November 5, Apple supported a live US Presidential Election between Vice President Kamala Harris and Former President Donald Trump.
According to the 9to5Mac report, Apple allowed iPhone 14 Pro or later models running iOS 16.1 and iPadOS 17 users to track US electoral results in real-time from their lock screens. It provided the latest upgrade of electoral results for people interested in US elections.
Following the settings, Open the News app and simply tap the “Follow the election live” banner at the top. In the Apple News app, you can also find the latest updates on Election Day and other in-depth information on how to vote in different states.
Apple provided a Live Activity of an election on your iPhone’s lock screen and in Dynamic Island. It would update data in real-time and showcase Presidential election results.
In Dynamic Island, the election updates were visible at the top of the screen even when you were doing other activities on your iPhone. Apple showed presidential information along with the results of Senate and House of Representatives elections.
Yesterday Presidential results indicated that Donald Trump won the election defeating Kamala Harris.
Apple would make the Live Activity of the US Presidential election easier for those who are usually more interested in elections and don’t want to miss any updates. The company previously shared caucus results through Live activities similar to US elections.
However, Apple is popular for its high tech and committed to providing extra convenient features to its users. The Live Activity update directly on the iPhone Lock Screen is one of the best concepts of Apple.
