Apple Vision Pro with M5 Chip and AI Support

To stay ahead in the race of AR/VR headsets, the new Apple Vision Pro will get an M5 chip and Apple Intelligence support. This was confirmed today by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who also revealed that its production will start in the second half of 2025.

Kuo further informed the news agencies that the new headset will have similar specifications and designs, but with upgraded software, compared to the earlier version of M2 that shipped in the first-gen model. Any attempts to bring AI features to older devices have not been confirmed by the tech company.

The current Apple Vision Pro, iPads, and Macs are powered by the M2 chip, and the integration of Apple Intelligence into them is still ongoing. Once the powerful processor of the M5 is upgraded, the second-gen Vision Pro will offer the best user experience.

Since there’s still time for production to begin and technology is changing fast, Apple is surely going to add more advanced features that many devices lack right now. Therefore, the design of the new headset will be unchanged to decrease production costs without compromising on the quality. The price point is expected to stay close to the current $3,499 starting price of the first-generation model. For more information on the Apple Vision Pro, users will have to wait for the next year.
