Another day brings in fresh waves of speculations about the elusive ‘Switch 2’, today’s buzz, however, is grounded in a recent update from Nintendo which has added a curious new product code to its Intellectual Property Noice on the console.
The alert was first raised on Twitter by Necrolipe who highlighted the official Wireless Regulatory Information of Nintendo now consists of electronic labels ‘BBE-006, HAC-008’.
The former has sparked intrigue among those who have been tracking the product ‘Switch 2’ codes for some time. This is not the first instance of BEE which appears in connection with Switch 2. Earlier this year, the code surfaced in Nintendo’s shipping data alongside the widely recognized HGU which is supposed to be believed to be the product code for several ‘Switch 2’ Items.
Although the specific product which is linked to this code remained unclear, its presence in shipping records led many to speculate it could be tied to the next-generation console.
Now, with BEE-006 resurfacing in the updated Intellectual Property Notices by Nintendo, accessible through the System settings or the screenshot above. Some are theorizing that this could represent ‘Switch 2’ cartridges, especially when it is given placement next to HAC-008.
It is also worth noting that this code could simply be part of an error message like the players can play that software on this system or it might not relate to Switch 2 at all. While it has some history in previously analyzed shipping documents, the connections being drawn are largely conjectural.
Concluding, there are several possibilities for why a ‘Switch 2’ code, if it is one, has appeared in the new Intellectual Property Notices. However, the users need to wait for an official announcement to truly understand the significance, however, any details could be only available when Nintendo provides any information about the same.
