Nintendo Adds Another Classic Boy Game to Switch Online

After the return of earlier titles, Nintendo further expands its Game Boy library on Switch Online with the addition of Donkey Kong Land 3 for the players to enjoy. In this 1997 Game Boy developed by Rare, players can once again join Kiddy Kong and Dixie Kong on their adventure. 

The game is now available for players who have active subscriptions to Nintendo’s Switch Online games. The official description from Nintendo states that a quest awaits those who are brave enough to reveal the mysteries of the Lost World. Many adventurers have travelled great distances in search of the fabled Lost World with the hope of achieving fame and wealth. 

Among them, Diddy Kong and Donkey Kong embark on their own journey to locate its entrance unaware of the fact that Baron K. Roolenstein along with his Kremling Krew are closely following them. Meanwhile, Dixie Kong stays behind to take care of her younger cousin, Kiddy Kong but she is resolute in her desire to join the expedition. 

Players in the game can help Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong as they go through the 36 levels teeming with Kremlings, each containing distinct areas and bonus stages. Dixie Kong’s helicopter Spin proves to be invaluable for avoiding any hazards. 

The return of animal companions will aid the duo and the different collectables and items are yet to be discovered, they aim to be the first to uncover the entrance to the mysterious Lost World. Japan has also received Donkey Kong Land 3 for Game Boy Colour which was initially released in 2000. Additionally, a trailer for the game Nintendo Switch Online is available for the players to have a look at. In other Switch Online News, Nintendo has announced that Tetris will be added to the NES library on 12th December 2024.
