Pokémon TCG Pocket: A $120m Success Story In Launch

Pokémon TCG Pocket has surpassed $120 million in total revenue, the game achieved this milestone just three weeks after it was launched. On November 15, the mobile game hit the mark of $100 million and it was merely 17 days after it was launched. This date also marked its highest revenue day to date, earning $8.2 m from players’ spending according to data from AppMagic and this data was shared by PocketGamer.biz. 

Till November 17, it was observed that the game had collected $120.8 million and on average, it has generated around $6.4 million since the first day when it made its debut. 

During the initial week of the launch of the game, Pokémon TCG Pocket earned around $35.8 million. Following this in the second week, it gained an additional $48.5 million. As for the ongoing third week, Pokémon TCG Pocket, the game has so far brought in $37.2 million in revenue. 

It is not surprising that 42 per cent of the worldwide spending comes from Japan, with the United States following behind at the second place with 28 per cent of the revenue. As noted earlier, according to reports, the game made around $12.1 million in just the first four days of its launch. 

Pokémon Go had a strong start as compared to Pokémon TCG Pocket which earned $58 million in its opening week, this game continues to hold the title of the most popular Pokémon mobile game ever. The Pokémon game has indicated that some more content might be added to TCG Pocket soon for the players. 

These additions might include new booster packs that are expected by the end of the year and the card trading set to launch soon at the beginning of the next year. In addition to this, it appears that the upcoming events will be themed around Bulbasaur which is based on information from Datamine.
