PS5 Community Calls For Customizable Themes And PS1 Boot Screen

A PlayStation 30th Anniversary update was unveiled by Sony for the PS5 this week, which features themes that get inspiration from previous consoles along with a completely transformed legendary PS1 startup setup. 

Players were welcomed by the nostalgic screen when they started their PS5, however, both the themes and the bot screen were available and accessible to the players only for a limited duration. 

Anticipating potential dissatisfaction, a significant response is witnessed, social media platforms and Reddit are full of fans expressing their desire for the themes and startup screen to remain available even after the anniversary festivals. A large number of individuals wish to keep the themes and the update on their PS5. 

For a limited period, players were able to personalize their PS5 user interface with themes from the history of PlayStation, they were able to select a theme from any of the four preceding PlayStation consoles along with a special 30th-anniversary theme. It is expected that many players will opt for the original PSX theme while a considerable number may go with the PS2 theme. 

Along with the impressive PS5 themes, a video has also been released by PlayStation through which they express their gratitude to players for their unconditional support for 30 years. PlayStation has also started an anniversary sale which will be accessible to the players until the 20th of December. It is unfortunate for the players to see these nostalgia-driven additions go away and never return. Despite how much players want to keep them around, sadly, Sony might not change its stance about bringing back the updates anytime soon.
