| Updated on 15 November 2024

Experiencing vibration when there is a notification is normal with smartwatches, however, Galaxy Watch 7 users encounter vibrations that do not come with the notifications. These vibrations occur without any happening out of nowhere for a lot of users.

Galaxy Watch Ultra and the Galaxy Watch 7 are the latest smartwatches offered by Samsung which indicates that these devices include the latest features and are capable of a lot. Several apps are now available in the seventh generation of the Galaxy Watches, referring to their potential for malfunctions.

According to several reports on the official forum of Samsung, the Galaxy Watch 7 appears to be experiencing some unexpected glitches which results in unwanted vibrations that occur even when there are no notifications. The vibrations could be felt even when the screen remains off and there is no alert displayed on the screen. Users who are experiencing the issue frequently are getting bothered by it.

Since the problem is not uncommon, there could be various factors contributing to it. Some users have reported success in fixing the issue by disabling the Health Platform of Samsung on their smartphone that syncs fitness data across several devices. Additionally, for other users, Google Maps is responsible for the trouble, and in this case, they noticed turning off the option of ‘mirroring’ within the application can resolve the problem.

For some users, WhatsApp has been identified as the potential source of the issue, although it is not sure whether uninstalling the application may resolve the issue or not.

It is evident, that this problem does not come from a single cause, since multiple applications could be triggering these vibrations. It is hoped that Samsung may introduce a notification setting especially for Galaxy Watch for the users to resolve the error. A similar feature available on Android allows users to manage the applications that may lead to unintended vibrations.
