In a recent test, the brand new Adreno 830 outperformed its predecessor Adreno 750 with an estimate of 40%. A previous leak indicated that Qualcomm’s Adreno 830 GPU would deliver massive performance enhancements. The original tip was it would be 53% faster, however, there is a slight lower but still an impressive boost.

In a new Geek bench OpenCL listing, the Adreno 830 scores 19,698 points. That represents a 40% performance uplift over the last-gen Adreno 750, which, on average, scored 14,027 points in the benchmark.

The recently launched Adreno 830 GPU has already set a new standard in mobile graphics performance. Built on a cutting edge architecture and enhanced next Gen processing technology, it offers superior speeds and improved power efficiency. It also offers better support for demanding games and graphical applications.

According to speculations, there is also a sneak peek at some of the Adreno’s 830 specs. It has twelve compute units and runs at 1.0 GHz. Although the clock speed appears to be a little low, Qualcomm still has time to increase it. Furthermore, after the SoC debuts in October, the performance boost will get much better.

Additionally, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and the Adreno 830 GPU were shown to support 125 frames per second (fps) on GFX Bench’s Aztec Ruins High. That is more than 30% faster than the 96 frames per second the Adreno 750 GPU of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset was able to achieve.

With a 40% increase in performance and efficiency, the GPU sets the stage for more demanding graphical workloads, positioning itself as a game changer in the mobile GPU market.
