On 9 September, PlayStation announced the launch of the PS5 Pro disc-less gaming console with an option to attach the PS5 Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive to enjoy PS5 games in the latest console. This statement makes gamers excited resulting in the selling out of PS5 drive.
However, the PS5 Pro console is available for pre-order on September 26 and will launch on November 7, 2024. The hefty price of a new console is $699.99 but it doesn’t matter to PS5 fans. Meanwhile, on Amazon, it ranks as the 10th best seller in video games. Rather than this, the PS5 disc drive was sold out on Amazon, Best Buy, and Target within 24 hours.
Fortunately, Wario’s post on X indicates that the PS5 disc drive is in stock for $79.99 at Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, Walmart, and PS Direct again. The maximum rise in sales of the PS5 Ultra HD disc drive symbolizes that people are planning to buy the latest PS5 Pro console.
Additionally, Sony developed the latest PS5 Pro console disc-less so that users don’t need to swap between drives and enjoy games entirely digitally. But to keep in mind those users who love to play physical games PS5 Pro incorporates an option to attach the drive separately.
Despite this drive feature, PlayStation also stated valuable features of PS5 Pro in a blog post. “It will include a 2TB SSD, a DualSense wireless controller and a copy of Astro’s Playroom pre-installed in every PS5 Pro purchase.”
