TikTok is bringing another interesting feature to the platform.
Currently, they are testing a new feature that would allow users to start over with your in-app video project. It will remove all the edits that you’ve made and re-edit your clip.
Owen Willis, a social media manager posted this example image on LinkedIn. He says that the company is experimenting with the new “delete and re-edit” option for your uploaded clips. First, it would delete the edits you’ve made to the clip and then allow you to re-edit the clip.
One thing to note here is that it won’t count for edits you’ve made in third-party apps like CapCut or more. So, if you are using a third-party app, you’re on your own.
However, if you’ve been editing your TikTok clips right in the app, then you can use this option. This would make it much easier for you to re-do your clips. It would come in handy especially when you’ve come across a much better idea or want to try to use a different approach.
Many would argue that they have video in their camera roll and they can start again by just deleting it. However, some users do all their editing work right in the app, which would make it a lot easier for them to edit and update their posts.
I mean, it all depends on your workflow. But it could be a significant update for those who use the TikTok app as the workflow.
