World of Warcraft just revealed its new Twitch Drop for its 20th anniversary update. It is a sand scarab as you can see from the image.
Players who watch four hours of any World of Warcraft stream on Twitch from October 22 to November 5 will be able to add this to their collection of battle pets.
October 22 is going to be an important day for World of Warcraft as they are releasing the patch 11.0.5. It is a sizable content update that brings balance adjustments, quality-of-life improvements, and an expansion to the classes Dracthyr characters can choose from.
Apart from that it also marks the 20th anniversary celebration of the game. The 20th celebration event will introduce a lot of new activities and rewards for fans.
Apart from the event in the game, players can also get one thing that doesn’t even require them to play the game. After the release of 11.0.5, players can enjoy the Twitch drop.
To be eligible for this drop, players need to connect their Twitch and battle.net accounts. After that, they need to enjoy four hours of any World of Warcraft content on the platform before November 5. Once players are done with that, they can earn the sand scarab battle pet. It will be automatically delivered to their collection tab once they claim the reward.
The sand scarab is a golden beetle battle pet that has been available in the game for a long time. Originally, it was acquired via a loot card from the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game.
But Trading Card Game has been discontinued for a while and cards with valid codes can still be purchased online and redeemed. Among those, sand scarab was a pretty common card. Apart from this, players will also have other things as rewards during the 20th anniversary.
