Meta is doing everything it can to integrate its AI solutions into its platforms. They are not expanding its AI offerings and users will experience it, whether they like it or not.
Now, Meta is testing AI summaries in post-comment streams on Facebook. This feature sums up the general consensus of what people are saying in the comments.
Have a look.

This image posted by @cmcalgary on Threads shows how Meta’s AI comment summaries are now appearing for some posts. These summaries provide an overview of what people are mostly talking about in the comments.
However, the AI summary alone might not be enough for you to understand the context of things being talked about in comments. You might have to check out what people are saying for yourself.
Recently, YouTube also tested AI comment summaries that separate the discussion into topics. X is also testing a similar feature where Grok will summarize the trending news stories based on the posts on the app. However, the feature will be available only to premium X subscribers.
So, there is a growing trend of using AI to summarize comments and posts on various social media platforms. This is going to be the new norm right now. Some people might feel overwhelmed by the level of AI integration in social media platforms.
This feature is going to be a game-changing option for those who don’t really engage through comments but like to read them. If users want to engage on Facebook, then they need to do that per comment level.
