The upcoming ASUS ROG Phone 9 is scheduled to launch next month. With the official launch of the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, brands are starting to put out their dates of upcoming devices with the same processor.
This time ASUS has jumped on the bandwagon and announced a launch date for their upcoming ROG Phone 9 series of devices. The new flagship devices from ASUS will debut on November 19 as a dedicated event set to start at 12 PM CET time.
The company shared the official renders of the device as you can see above. The new device looks almost identical to the ASUS ROG Phone 8 series with an offset pentagon-shaped camera island. The new camera island houses three sensors and a gamer aesthetic back with LED lights and the ROG branding as well.
The front of the device has a flat-screen with a hole punch cutout for the selfie camera, as is the trend these days. The right-hand side of the edges features pressure-sensitive air triggers marked with ROG Branding for a smooth gaming experience.
The newly launched CPU, Snapdragon X Elite mobile platform, features an Oryon CPU with eight cores, an enhanced Adreno GPU, and supports up to LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage as well. The new CPU has a clock speed of 4.32 GHz and includes a Hexagon NPU.
The company also shared a poster with an “AI on, game on” tagline on social media sites suggesting that the device will come with on-board AI features.
