New Flappy Bird

Flappy Bird was a very popular and addictive game back in 2013. The game received a sudden spike in popularity in early 2014, becoming a sleeper hit. However, the fun game became so addictive that it was taken off the App Store and Google Play a year later by its developer, Dong Nguyen. The developer himself believed it was becoming too intoxicating.

“Flappy Bird was designed to play in a few minutes when you are relaxed,” Nguyen told Forbes in 2014.

Games like Flappy Bird are known to boost dopamine levels when people are doing great and noradrenaline when they fail. The interplay between competing neurotransmitter systems is likely to keep gamers hooked in the game for periods longer than they initially anticipated.

However, despite it being so well-appreciated, the game still wasn’t received well by some reviewers. Poor reviews from some critics, who criticized its high level of difficulty and alleged plagiarism in graphics and game mechanics.

Recently, “Dong Nguyen,” the real developer of the game, has divulged certain details about the game that may be fraudulent. He posted on X, on September 15, 2024, about the upcoming game, which was in development. He stated, “No, I have no related with their game. I did not sell anything. I also don’t support crypto.”

The Flappy Bird new game website had a lot of secretive pages which indicated, that crypto might be involved when the game is released. This was not great news for fans. They were unhappy and quickly came forward to warn others of the potential risks.

On top of that, check out what the game website posted on X:-

There is still no reply or retaliation from the developers amid this controversy. However, they are thrilled to introduce a new game to everyone and say they have ample things stored for the fans and the game.
