Google has introduced a new AI-powered video creation tool for work. For a long time, we’ve been using documents and spreadsheets for work. There are many great tools, such as Word, Excel, Pages, and Numbers, available for that.

However, Google is introducing a format for work – video. With a new app called Google Vids, the company aims to help companies and consumers make collaborative and shareable videos.

Vids, the newest addition to Google Workspace, is an AI-powered creation app for work that can generate a storyboard that you can easily edit and share. The tool pieces together the first draft using the stock footage, images, and background music.

It is not an app that can create beautiful or scenic videos. It is an app that will help you create the sort of things that people want to do at work, like explaining a concept. The most important goal of the tool is to make everything as easy as possible.

“The ethos that we have is, if you can make a slide, you can make a video in Vids. No video production is required,” says Kristina Behr, Google’s VP of product management for the Workspace collaboration apps.

According to the company, Google Vids will be your “video, writing, production, and editing assistant, all in one.” the interface of the tool is pretty simple, it is just like Google Slides.

The new AI-powered tool will sit alongside other productivity tools from Google, such as Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

It is slated to be released with Workspace Labs in June.
