Pixel Watch and Pixel Watch 2 users are getting an update related to charging screens on the devices. The users have started to notice a new look the next time they plug their smartwatch in for charging.
Now, the devices can access more information on the charging screen. This charging screen was introduced with the Pixel Watch 3.
You can check out the image shared by one of the Reddit users on the platform by stating “My Charging Screen changed today on PW1. Did yours?”
The updated look can now be accessed with Older Pixel devices as well. Aesthetically, it looks the same but has more details.
The new design skips the animation and leverages a yellow accent for the ring and some other elements within the ring. Now, the time is denoted with a white color.
Since this is an update from the Pixel Watch 3, here is something you must know. The new charging screen on the Pixel Watch 3 shows a time-to-full estimate, which appears at the right. It shows a loading animation when you activate the charging screen as it calculates the time. However, Pixel Watch and Pixel Watch 2 attempt to do so but currently fail. It’s possible that Google might address this problem via an update.
In the updated screen, you get the date/day in its place. The next timer is shown on the left-hand side. If you don’t have a timer set in your watch, the data/day will be shown on the left and the month on the right.
To get this updated charging screen, you need to update your watch to Wear OS 5.
