Apple Rumor: The Affordable iPhone SE 4 is Set for a Price Hike

| Updated on 22 May 2024

iPhone SE is a series that users revere for being an affordable option among the costliest Apple devices. These devices also give some budget-friendly users to try the Apple iOS experience.

Pricing is the most appealing characteristic of this smartphone. However, according to a new rumor, Apple is looking to increase the price of its cheaper iOS device.

Apple is looking for a $499 price tag for the new version while its predecessor was priced at $429. This rumor comes from a reliable tipster who goes by the name Ravegnus. The tipster claims that Apple is thinking of hiking the price of its cheapest iPhone. There is a strong possibility that the company could hike the price by up to 10%.

The 10% price hike of the base variant of iPhones would result in $469 from $429. So, it is likely that the price would be around $499. The leaker also claims that Apple has no intention to breach the $500 mark for its iPhone SE device.

We expect the iPhone SE 4 to be far more advanced than its predecessor, the iPhone SE (2022 model). So, after all, Apple may be able to justify the price hike through some new features or fun elements.

This leak would suggest that Apple is ditching the Touch ID home button and adding Face ID to the new device. So, it would mean that all the iPhone devices from Apple will have Face ID on them.

Another rumor suggests that the iPhone SE 4 will be coming in the spring of 2025.
