Fortnite’s latest virtual concert was an expensive event in several aspects, unlike earlier concerts, that focused on individual artists such as Metallica or Ariana Grande, this occasion showcased a diverse lineup of four performers. Eminem, Ice Spice, Snoop Dogg and the late juice WRLD were included in this lineup.
Each artist was transformed into a colossal figure and the event also included intricate elements such as Fortnite’s lore and offered a preview of future developments in the game.
The concert began at Snoop Dogg’s estate which is a major location on the battle royal map since early November. A massive performance of the rapper took the stage and transported players into space for another amazing performance.
The dynamic transitions were the highlight of the event, Eminem followed, engaging in a battle against a huge robot amidst the dramatic storm. Whereas, Ice Spice appeared towering over the cityscape ruins of Godzilla. The conclusion of the concert was on the royale island with a couple of songs from Juice WRLD.
The oversized representation of the artist was the lord similar to Travis Scott’s concert in 2020. Like the grand event this concert interval elements of Fortnite’s unique history. Eminem’s segment echoed the game’s mecha-monster from 2019 while during Juice WRLD’s performances, players transformed into growing butterflies that were first seen during Fortnite’s ambitious black hole event in the same year.
At the end, players were treated to a preview of what looks like the new iteration of the battle royale Island which is available to the users when the next chapter of the game is launched on 1st December.This event follows a month rich in musical experiences for the battle royale game. At the start of November, Epic Games initiated a remixed version of Fortnite: Chapter 2 highlighting different musical artists each week followed by a live concert.
