The upcoming team-oriented shooter, Marvel Rivals developed by NetEase Games has extended its lineup by bringing up five new characters for fans from the Marvel Comics Universe. The characters that have been newly added are Black Widow, Wolverine, Cloak and Dagger, Iron Fist and Squirrel Girl.

The announcement of these characters was made through the launch trailer of the highly anticipated PvP game. This trailer shows iconic superhit collaborations like Black Widow and Hawkeye joining hands to combat adversaries.

In addition to this viewers are also treated with a scene that features a furious Hulk propelling Wolverine into the air to fight foes in a signature fastball special way, an action that the players will likely look forward to replicating once the game is released.

It is a free-to-play Marvel superhero fighting game which has two teams of six players fighting against each other. The release of the game is scheduled on December 6 for Xbox series X|S, PS5 and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.

With the addition of these brand new five characters which are quite popular among people, the total number of playable Marvel characters in the game now has surpassed 30. All the existing as well as future characters will be available for the players without any cost.

Marvel Rivals is a strong competitor to Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch series of games that are free to play and have team-based shooters.

The pre-downloads of the game Marvel Rivals will begin tomorrow and NetEase and Marvel Games are offering players the chance to prepare for the launch of Marvel Rivals by allowing pre-downloads two days in advance.

From the 4th of December, players can start pre-downloading the 6v6 Marvel shooter on Steam and on the official Marvel Rivals website and the game will be accessible to the players after it is launched on 6th December.
