Meta is rolling out the broadcast channel feature to pages with low follower counts. Now, Facebook pages with over 10K followers can create broadcast channels for their pages to have the one-to-many chat option. They can now create their own channel on Facebook and Messenger.
The company first launched the broadcast channels for Facebook and Messenger back in October, after they tasted the success of a similar feature on Instagram. Now, they are bringing the same to Facebook with some new added elements.
With this, the company is also providing expanded access to Meta-owned platforms.
It has also added the capacity to share channel messages from Instagram to Facebook. It will automatically share updates from your Instagram channel to your Facebook channel. This provides users with another way to expand their reach with this channel feature.
It also gives users the option to give an early sneak peek of Facebook posts to channel members. This way, users can test posts before posting them on their page for a broader audience.
Users are also given the choice of sharing the channel content on Facebook stories with a dedicated sticker format.
As we’ve mentioned users can also create broadcast channels on Instagram but they are not available to everyone as of now. This news is for the Facebook and Messenger channels only. It is not yet certain whether they will extend this to Instagram or not.
Sure, it can be a good way to connect with your audience. Nowadays, messaging is the best way to forge a connection with your audience. With this, the updates from creators are sent directly to the inboxes of users.
