Metroid Prime 4 was announced by Nintendo all the way back in 2017 for the new Switch, but there has been no news regarding the same ever since. Now all of a sudden, the company unveiled the much-awaited trailer of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond during the Nintendo Direct event and confirmed a 2025 release window.
You can check out the trailer above.
In the trailer, we can see that Samus is exploring an alien planet that is under siege by alien factions. In this, we can also see some old Prime-action-like scanning creatures and lock on targets for enemies. In the end, we also got a glimpse of its villain, a humanoid character flanked by two Metroids-like bodyguards.
We’ve been waiting for a long time for any information on this game. In 2019, Nintendo announced that it was rebooting the title, but the video didn’t include any footage of the actual game. At the time of the announcement, Nintendo stated that the original developers, Retro Studios, would be taking over the development of this game.
The last version, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, was released in 2007. So, it will be 18 years when we see the next Metroid game in this series. However, other Metroid games have been released in this series but not the main one.
