The computer manufacturer Acer just announced two new 14-inch gaming laptops: Predator Helios 14 and the Nitro 14. It is heartening to see that the well-loved and budget-friendly Nitro series has a 14-inch gaming device. The best part is that it is competitively priced and specced.
You can compare it with other 14-inch gaming beasts like the Asus Zephyrus G14 and Razer Blade 14. Apart from this, the company is also updating the Nitro 16 and offers two choices, one with Intel and the other with AMD processors.
The Predator Helio 14 comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card, 32GB of LPDDR5X SDRAM, and 1TB of NVME SSD memory. It offers two options in display, a 120Hz G-Sync at 2560 x 1600 or 1920 x 1200 resolutions.
The higher end of this model, Predator Helios Neo, offers a core Ultra 9 processor with dedicated AI capabilities with support for up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. It also has three display options, 3072 x 1920 at 165Hz, 2560 x 1600 at 120Hz, or 1920 x 1200 at 120Hz.
The Nitro 14 comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 processor with inbuilt AI, with up to a GeForce RTX 4060 GPU. The display offers a 120 Hz refresh rate with a resolution of 2560×1600.
Both models will start shipping in May in North America and June in Europe. The Helios 14 will start at $1799.99 and the Nitro 14 will start at $1299.
Apart from these the company also updated Nitro 16 models which will feature either an Intel Core i7 14700HX or an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS processor, up to an RTX 4060 GPU, and a 16-inch display at 2560×1600 resolution and 165 Hz refresh rate.
