NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 Specs Leaked

| Updated on 30 September 2024

For a few months, we’ve been seeing many leaks, rumors, and reports surrounding Nvidia’s upcoming flagship RTX 5090 and 5080 graphics cards. Now, thanks to a massive and definitive leak, we’ve got some specs for you.

A well-known and reliable Nvidia leaker Kopite7kimi took to their X account and posted some specs about upcoming flagship graphics cards from Nvidia.

According to Kopite7kimi, the RTX 5090 will now feature a 412-bit memory bus, not 448-bit as mentioned earlier. The said graphics card is also set to come with 32GB of GDDR7 memory.

Kopite7kimi is one of the most reliable Nvidia leakers, so these specs are pretty much a done deal.

The new flagship Blackwell RTX 5090 model will come with a GB202-300 GPU with 21,760 FP32 CUDA cores (a reduction from the 24,576 of the full chip), a 512-bit memory bus, and 32GB of GDDR7 RAM. Additionally, the new card is said to feature a whopping 600W of power. However, the leaker has not confirmed whether that’s the TBP or TGP, because both can refer to different metrics.

Despite having an obvious increase in power from 450W to 600W, the card is still said to feature a 2-slot cooler design. From the looks of it, it’s possible Nvidia is using a non-standard cooling design.

Apart from the RTX 5090, the leaker also revealed all about the RTX 5080 as well.

The 5080 is said to come with a GB203-400 GPU with 10,752 CUDA cores and the card is also slated to feature 16GB of GDDR7 memory and a 256-bit memory bus.

One thing to note here is that GB203 specs are nearly half of GB202. It was also revealed that this card will consume 400W of power. It is an increase from 320W from RTX 4080.

There is no official word on the release of the new Blackwell graphics cards from Nvidia. The leakers are also coming short on this front. So, we don’t know when these cards will be released.
