There’s been talk about the next-gen Blackwell graphics cards this year. People are curious if Nvidia will release the GeForce RTX 5000 cards or not.
According to the latest rumors, the company is scheduled to launch the GeForce RTX 5090 for desktops this year and maybe more.
A YouTube Creator, Moore’s Law is Dead revealed that his sources claim that the company is working hard to meet the Q4 2024 deadline. However, his sources aren’t confident about individual cards but the 5090 model could be their flagship one to lead the launch. The sources are unsure when each card will be launched or they may be delayed into 2025.
In a video, the Youtuber claimed that the new GeForce RTX 5090 could ship around October and is running 1-2 months behind schedule. This means we may not be able to see the first laptops with RTX 5090 graphics cards until 2025.
Well, his report is pretty convincing and is at par with what Nvidia has done in the past with its launches. The company has done similar types of rollouts in the past. So, if that is the case, we will not see the first laptops with GeForce RTX 5090 until mid-2025.
The company could unveil its new graphics card at the Computex, the annual computer expo held in Taipei, Taiwan. This year, the event is scheduled to take place on June 3rd, 2024.
As for the performance, we don’t yet know the full extent of what to expect from new graphics cards. However, other leakers are reporting that the new graphics cards from Nvidia will come with GDDR7 memory, which will be significantly faster than RTX 4090.
