Samsung One UI 7 Redesign and Upgrade: New Software to Come with Camera Upgrades

| Updated on 1 August 2024

The new and overhauled Samsung’s One UI 7 update is being tipped to bring some important updates to older Samsung devices as well as newer handsets.

According to a well-known tipster or leaker, Ice Universe, the new software has optimized the rear camera setup on the high-end phone.

The company is looking to significantly optimize the rear camera setup on Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. With this update, the S24 Ultra will bring higher quality for photos and videos.

By looking at some leaked images of One UI 7, it looks like Samsung is bringing a visual overhaul of their new mobile operating system. Some of the things look partly inspired by iOS 18. In the new update, they have gone for more rounded corners, smoother animations, and changes to the notification panel as well.

They may also ship some significant upgrades to the camera in One UI 6.1.1 in August. From the leaks, it looks like the optimization of S24 cameras does not end just there.

One UI 7 Screenshots

As you can see from the screenshots, Samsung is going to split the notification panel from the quick setting shade. In One UI 6, the user swipes down once to access notifications and again to access quick settings. However, that might change in One UI 7.

These screenshots are obtained by Smartprix of the new notification and quick setting.

With the new update, One UI 7 will optimize the 1x and 5x50MP modes of the S24 Ultra. It will be like the visual experience of 12MP with higher clarity.
