Samsung Planning Separate Launch of Galaxy S25 “Slim” to Compete Apple “Air” in 2025

Samsung is working on a new flagship Galaxy S25 smartphone which is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2025. The company is considering the slim model beyond its S24 lineup. 

According to ET News of October 31, “Samsung recently added a ‘slim’ version to the Galaxy S25 lineup,” and “It may be released in small quantities to gauge market response and change the lineup the year after next.”

Many industry reports revealed that Samsung plans to compete with its major rival Apple. As iPhone 17 “Air” is rumored across the world indicating that Apple is working on its new slim technology. 

As the case, we know that Samsung previously launched the Galaxy Alpha with a slim design. Back in 2014, the smartphone featured a 6.7mm profile compared to its regular Galaxy S5’s 8.1mm thickness. 

Furthermore, Smartprix has also confirmed the release of the Samsung Galaxy S25 in the GSMA IMEI database. They discovered the model number under the name “Galaxy” with the model number SM-S937U. Samsung registers smartphones for internal testing 6 to 7 months before the official launch. 

Reportedly, the Samsung S series consists of three models General, Plus, and Ultra. Meanwhile, the new flagship slim smartphone will launch separately after the launch of S25 regular models. 

There are rumors about the designs of the Apple iPhone 17 designs. The new slim smartphone has around 6.56-inch display smaller than the existing Plus 6.69-inch.

As Samsung and Apple are the two major smartphone companies, both are planning to launch their slim tech device in 2025. In, the upcoming year everyone could see the best and most advanced smartphones from both rivals.
