AI Powered Future of Google hinted by CEO Sundar Pichai

Google Search which is a fundamental pillar of Google has been an inseparable part of people for more than 25 years. All this time, the search engine has also experienced a lot of transformations and enhancements.

However, according to the CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai, the most significant changes for the search engine are still on the horizon. During his talk at The New York Times DealBook Summit, Pichai revealed that in the upcoming year, users can expect a remarkable revolution in Google Search. 

A groundbreaking shift in search capabilities can be anticipated as Pichai hinted at a major revolution putting emphasis that Google will soon be equipped to answer and tackle more complicated questions than before. He also added that his company would be able to address more complex questions than it did earlier. 

He further noted that even in the early part of 2025, users are going to experience a noticeable enhancement in Google’s search abilities. It will be able to deliver more sophisticated answers than the current iteration. 

In the DealBook Summit, Satya Nadela, Microsoft CEO suggested that Google should have emerged as the ‘Default Winner’ in the AI competition. Sundar Pichai responded to this and advocated for a comparison between Google and Microsoft’s AI technologies. 

Pichai has also highlighted the swift advancement of AI, mentioning that it is just the beginning of a major transformation. Many more innovations are on the edge for the users.  

Google has already started working to add AI to its search framework, featuring AI-generated summaries and an improved Lens tool that allows users to go for a video-based search. It is merely the beginning as the company is all geared up to unveil the latest version of its Gemini AI model which is designed to compete with Microsoft, OpenAI and rising challengers in the arena of AI like Perplexity.
