The Twitch VTubing community is not happy with Twitch’s decision to ban Chromuchromu suddenly on their birthday.
Chromuchromu had a birthday celebration stream planned on their channel, instead, they were banned for seven days, and festivities were cut short.
Here is what they said on X.
“I got banned on my birthday and I wasn’t breaking any Twitch TOS.”
After that, VTuber explained why they were suspended from the Platform. They said, “They think there is child endangerment. My streams are labeled as 18+. I make plenty of jokes, but I never act like a child or make jokes about that, and my model is a freaky chibi creature.”

There was a lot of anger among the VTuber community after this.
“Depicting fictional anime characters of a child-like appearance with any kind of sexual framing is not allowed. This applies to VTubers and within games where avatars are uploaded, such as VRChat, with child-like avatars, even if the broadcaster and operator of the avatar are above the age of 18.” This is what Twitch’s community guidelines state about the matter.
However, Chromuchromu’s avatar isn’t exactly human and they’ve appealed the ban. But there is no additional news on it and the suspension remains.
The community is pretty frustrated with it.
One user wrote, “Omg this is HORRIBLE! Happy Birthday, but you don’t deserve this.”
Another blasted Twitch for the ban, “VTubers being banned for no reason despite following even clearer TOS. Knew it would happen.”
After this mishap with a VTuber, the community feels targeted. They are growing increasingly upset about the platform and its policies.
Just this month, Twitch added some additional context to its community guidelines, with a note stating that VTubers are subjected to the same article rules as regular streamers.
