The developers of the application Zerocam, claim it to be the first anti-AI camera app that captures in RAW format and eliminates the digital enhancements. Initially, the application was launched exclusively for the users of the iPhone, the design of the Zerocam, features only a viewfinder along with a shutter button.
Now, the application which lacks any adjustable settings can be found on both the Apple Store as well as the Google Play Store, the users will be able to download Zerocam, without any charges. However, there is a restriction as the users can only take five photos each day. To gather unlimited access, users can opt for a paid subscription monthly at $0.99 and annually it will cost the users $10.99.
Zerocam works on Android 14 or the latest versions as well as iOS 17.0 or newer. The testing of the application has already been done by the users of iPhone, and has offered positive feedback; plenty of users have appreciated its core concept. However, not all the users have appreciated the application, some have quickly remarked that the application lacks some features, and such an application must not come with a price tag.
A user on Reddit commented that the unprocessed camera is surely a plus point, but the limit to capture only 5 pictures a day is a major turn down, the users further mentioned the pricing for subscription and commented “Deleting this thing and never looking back”. Another one on the platform, criticised the developers for presenting users with a camera with not even a single basic function and even charging them for the same.
Some other issues about the application have been pointed out by other users including, inferior image quality and absence of basic features because of which they are not moving ahead to download the app.
