We all know that AI is the latest trend in the tech industry, and everyone is trying to get a piece of it. AI is making life easier for users and companies. Users get to use new features that were not accessible before and companies can entice new users with a new shiny thing.
Keeping the latest trend in mind, Spotify has also joined the bandwagon to leverage AI to create something for its users. Moving forward, Spotify will let users use the AI with a feature that allows users to create and personalize AI playlists simply by using prompts.
The company unveiled the new feature in beta mode. Users in Australia and the United Kingdom will be the first to get the new features on Android devices.
Coming to the feature itself, users can create or personalize the playlists based on the prompts or can use emojis as well.
For now, this feature will be restricted to the paid subscribers only. In a blog post, the music streaming giant announced the feature and provided some insights into it.
The company also provided some examples of what the AI tool can do. Users can search “Looking for ‘an indie folk playlist to give my brain a big warm hug,’ ‘relaxing music to tide me over during allergy season,’ or a playlist that makes me feel like the main character’? AI Playlist has you covered.”
Prompts can range from mood to activities you want to enjoy. For now, it may not be the perfect companion you want it to be, but Spotify promised that it will ‘continue to iterate and innovate’ on the tool.
Spotify also didn’t share their plans for the global rollout.
