Slack Widget on iPhone

Slack has introduced new app widgets to enhance worker engagement and collaboration. They introduced the first four widgets for the iPhone version of the app.

Out of these, three are designed to be used on the home screen while the fourth one can be used on the lock screen. This would allow the users to immediately jump into the app right after unlocking the device.

The names of the widgets are “Catch UP”, “Status”, and “Slack Launcher”. With either of these three widgets, users can stay in the know on the go.

The “Catch Up” widget provides an at-a-glance look at how many unread messages and mentions users get. This widget gives users a little more info than the icon badge. When you tap on the “Catch Up” widget, it takes you directly to that section of the app so you can immediately catch up with the conversations.

The next two home screen widgets show status updates. By tapping on the smaller Status widget, you can also directly reach that section of the app. While the larger widget offers more functionality within the widget. It offers three preselected status options. These options are not customizable at the moment.

So, if you want to integrate your work seamlessly with iPhones, use Slack widgets. With this, you will be able to focus more on the work. It puts your work front and center whenever you open your device.
