Microsoft Trying to Convert Windows 10 Users by Giving Them a Comparison List

| Updated on 31 May 2024

The adoption rate of Windows 11 is not up to the mark that Microsoft would have liked. The company believes that Windows 10 users need a little more convincing but the actual reason for not switching to Windows 11 is a little more complex than that.

People are not adopting Windows 11 from Windows 10 hasn’t been as fast as the company likes. There is even some evidence that people are downgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 11. Apart from this, the company has tried a few methods to encourage people to make users switch sides. They even made a video of the upgrading process despite there being some difficulties that stopped the users from upgrading.

Now, Microsoft has pivoted from the things that they’ve been doing and revealed a new strategy. They’ve created a list of big things that Windows 11 can do that 10 can’t.

Check out the list of things Microsoft prepared when comparing Windows 11 and Windows 10. Microsoft is keen on showing things on how Windows 11 improves upon the last version of Windows. The list includes features like new UI, synching with iPhone, and dynamic lighting. There is a long list of features that Windows 10 doesn’t have.

With this, it feels like Microsoft believes that users haven’t made the switch because they don’t know how good Windows 11 is. Once they figure it out, they make the switch or upgrade.

It isn’t as simple as Microsoft would have us believe, there are a lot of nuanced factors at play. For example, the strict system requirements discourage older PC users from upgrading the hardware. With all the AI and stuff, people are skeptical about Microsoft’s Copilot+ presentation. A lot of users worry that the new AI features would have a lot of privacy implications, especially the Recall feature.

With the end-of-life of Windows 10 coming near, we’ll have to see if Microsoft will be able to convince users to make the jump to Windows 11.
