Apple Services Suffer Massive Outage: App Store, Apple TV, Apple Podcasts, and Apple Music Were Down

| Updated on 5 April 2024

A global outage knocked out many Apple services including the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Music, and more. iPhone, iPad, and Mac users were left blue as they tried to use Apple products.

The online services of Apple were hit by this outage that cut many of us from accessing the App Store and more services on Wednesday night. The system status page of Apple services showed the outage.

Here is a copy of the system status page.

Apple System Status Page

The outage started at 6:31 PM ET affecting many Apple online services including the App Store, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Arcade, Audiobooks, Books, Fitness Plus, and more.

At 7:35 PM ET, the status on the System Status page lists them as “outage resolved”. Now, they seem to be working fine again for all users all over the globe.

The support account on X did not mention any reason why this happened with Apple but they redirected the users to the system status page to check for more information.

If you want to check this out yourself, go to Downdetector and look at when reports of outage issues started coming.

At the time of the outage, when users tried to connect with these services, it showed a ‘failure to connect” message. This is a rare occurrence with Apple as they’ve not had a massive outage in so long.
